Labels Against Women: Pantene’s Ad Shows Women are Not Equal to Men

Pantene’s new ad demonstrates the double standard that every woman is subject to as she tries to make it in a “man’s” world.

While men are seen as being hardworking and driven, women are seen as selfish and bitchy.

This is not a new phenomenon, but the fact that companies such as Pantene are beginning to address these stereotypes is a new (and wonderful) step.

I know that it is a long road, but I hope that one day my daughter will experience gender equality. I hope to see it in my lifetime. I hope to help it become a reality.

Also, for those young women out there, please take the time to read Sheryl Sandberg‘s book, Lean In. You owe it to yourself and to women around you.
